“In this collection of photographs entitled, The Best Days of Our Lives, I have focused on the ideas of isolation, loneliness, alienation and the detrimental effects of these feelings on the mental health of young people in today’s society. Through a series of intimate portraits, I aspired to create a collection of particularly dark and oppressive images all alluding to this theme however, keeping enough anonymity in order to allow the viewer to create their own narrative or perhaps be able to relate or attach themselves on an emotional level to what they are viewing.” - Charlotte Jones
